Shyla Crowder is RCF’s Connects Housing First Program Director. Shyla is a dedicated and compassionate housing professional with extensive experience in social services and community development. She has excelled in various roles, from administrative coordination to case management, and has developed exceptional skills in program oversight, staff supervision, and participant support. Before taking on her current role at RCF Connects, Shyla gained a wealth of knowledge in homelessness and assisting the unhoused of Oakland by proactively managing sites, ensuring the well-being and progress of over 100 participants, while fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders and community partners.

With a knack for problem-solving and a passion for empowering individuals toward self-sufficiency, Shyla is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves. Whether facilitating workshops, conducting case conferences, or advocating for resources, Shyla is dedicated to building a brighter future for individuals and communities alike.
