Richmond, CA — RCF Connects, a trusted community anchor founded in Richmond, proudly announces its 25th Anniversary, marking a quarter-century of building equity, opportunity, and meaningful change throughout Contra Costa County.
Since its founding in 2000, RCF Connects—formerly known as the Richmond Community Foundation—has worked to uplift communities by addressing the root causes of poverty, housing instability, and economic injustice. What began in Richmond has expanded to touch lives across East and Central Contra Costa County, connecting people, resources, and systems for a stronger, more just region.

As we kick off our 25th Anniversary celebrations, RCF Connects is also being honored throughout the region for its continued leadership and impact:
- On March 28, 2024, the Antioch Chamber of Commerce named RCF Connects its 2024 Non-Profit of the Year.
- Just one day earlier, on March 27, the East Bay Economic Development Alliance recognized RCF Connects during the 12th Annual East Bay Innovation Awards, awarding us in the Community Impact Category.
- In addition, RCF Connects has been nominated for MCE’s 2024 Charles F. McGlashan Award for our contributions to environmental leadership in our community.
